What size will my book be printed?
You can choose between two different sizes once you have uploaded your PDF to our site.
The most popular size is A5 - 5.8 in (W) x 8.3 in (H), 148 mm (W) x 210 mm (H). This is both portable and easy to read.
Secondly, we can produce books in A4 - 8.3 in (W) x 11.7 in (H), 210 mm (W) x 297 mm (H). This is twice the size of A5 and is the size of a full sheet of paper. It is easier to read but less portable.
All our books are, of course, printed double sided.
How will my book be bound?
We offer two types of binding - perfect (also known as heat or thermal) and spiral (also known as wire).
Perfect binding is just like a book. It is secured by glue inside a cover. The books come with a transparent front cover and a white card back cover.
Spiral binding is stronger than perfect binding and has the advantage of lying completely flat and being able to be turned back on itself. It is held together with white metal wire binding. It also comes with a transparent front cover and a white card back cover.
We recommend spiral binding for documents with more than about 150 pages.
Does my file have to be a PDF?
We only print files uploaded to us as PDFs. This is because a PDF cannot be edited or changed, and you can be sure that we will print exactly what you upload to us. If you upload a file which is not a PDF it could potentially be changed, intentionally or not. We want you to be sure that we will print exactly what you upload.
You can easily create a PDF yourself if you don't have one already. For example, in Word select "Abobe PDF" as your printer.
What happens if I need a printed manual and don't have the PDF for it yet?
If you are looking for a printed manual for a piece of equipment, you can usually find a downloadable PDF on the manufacturer's website. Download the PDF, save it on your computer, and then upload it to us so we can print and bind it for you.
If you are making the file yourself you can easliy convert any document into a PDF. For example, in Word choose "Adobe PDF" as your printer.
Do you print single or double sided?
All our books are printed double sided.
Is there a maximum number of pages I can have in my PDF?
Your PDF can have any number of pages. However, our largest binder holds about 400 pages (200 sheets). If you upload a document with more than about 400 pages we will split the document into more than one binder.
What do you charge for postage and packaging?
Postage is calculated automatically based on the number of pages in your PDF, the size you have chosen for us to print your PDF and which country you are in.
All orders outside the UK and Europe have a tracking number.
How can I pay?
Payments can be made by Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Paypal.
Depending on where you are in the world, you will be charged in £ Sterling, $ US Dollars or € Euro.

We send all orders by first class post using the Royal Mail. They aim to deliver all First Class mail by the next working day, including Saturdays, to the UK. If your book has not arrived after about 5 days in the UK and 14 days elsewhere please
contact us, quoting your order number, and explain that the book never arrived. We will send a replacement free of charge.
Can I cancel my order?
If, for whatever reason, you decide you don't want the printed book once you have received it you can return it to us for a 100% refund. Send it, with a short explanation of why you are returning it, to:

Do you print in colour?
No. We print in very high quality black and white. People who need a PDF printed by us do so primarily because they need to read the text in their document. The photos in the books that we produce are in black and white and are still of excellent quality. We supply bound books where the text is totally legible and all pictures will be very clear.
Do you keep my PDFs?
We keep your PDFs for 30 days after your order is placed. This is to allow us to replace your order if it gets lost in the post. After 30 days we automatically delete your PDF from our system.
